Doug has been very helpful with me concerning wine suggestions for my wife. Not to mention, their pricing is very fair. I definitely will continue to shop here based on my past experiences!
Schnucks has a great Salad Bar (over 50 different items) plus wings, soup, and a nice variety of pre-made salads. Party trays made fresh in the store are always ready to just pick and go. Best Olive Bar between St Louis and Memphis! 14 different varieties of olives every day.
A fine, expansive supermarket - clean and well-maintained, with generally very friendly, helpful staff. Great and diverse selection of most items--especially the beer and liquor! (I have to admit, this native New Yorker is utterly fascinated and delighted by the concept of liquor in a grocery store.). I can see why Schnucks is the go-to for my family down here - and for a large portion of the city, it seems.

This is a very good store. I only gave it four stars because the best cheese guy in the world Rocky no longer works there. He always helped me with my selections. I also miss the cooking demonstrations they used to have. They still have some good basic sales, a decent seafood and a meat counter. The produce department and the wine selections are great!
I agree with Sabrina K--I hot this place early up in a visit to stock up on crunchy foods that I need to get through a week. They have developed a pretty good organic produce selection. The prices are good as well.
Clean store, friendly staff and good sales. The fresh food area has tasty selections and I found all my 'too big to travel' natural/organic products. This is typically my first stop, when visiting family. Seems a bit more expensive than larger chains, in my home state, but again look for sales. Don't forget your reusable bags and no, they don't honor competitor coupons.
